Registration commiment for ALL 'The Almost Late Show' Specialities include

  • Tech & Dress Rehearsal: Sat, Jan 2, 2027 12:00 pm-9:00 pm

  • Show Day: Sat, Jan 9, 2027 at 11:00am - 11:59pm (2:00pm, 5:30pm, 9:00pm showtimes)

    • With the exception of Mature Content 50+, performance is Optional

  • Participants are required to commit and attend all scheduled classes. Please do not register for Specialty series if you know you will absent from any of the rehearsals.

TAP “Hit the Road Jack” with Tia
(intermediate and up)

  • SATURDAYS @ 5:15-6:45PM

  • OCT 3, 17, 24, NOV 7, 14, 28

  • $270+ GST, 10 people max

  • Description: We are bringing tap to the TGM stage for the very first time! If you have previous tap experience, check out the pre-requisites below…this routine is going to delight our audience with satisfying percussion and sass! Tucked into the Vaudeville portion of the show, this number will acknowledge it’s old school roots while nodding mischievously at our modern influence.

  • Prereq:

    • Ability to pick up tap choreography quickly and practice independently

    • Comfort with dynamic arms being paired with intermediate level footwork

    • Strong foundational skills: shuffles, slaps, paradiddles, riffs, cramprolls, pick ups/pull backs, etc.

    • Ability to bear some weight on toes (eg: toe stands)

    • Moderate cardio to maintain high exciting energy throughout routine

    • Any other “trick” steps will be included based on dancer ability: wings (any variety), riff stands, shiggy bop/shovel, firecracker, coffee grinders, etc.

  • Description: Opulence, indulgence, extravagance, money daaahhhhhling! This number is all about the sugar mommies + daddies and the lifestyle the provide! This number is campy, ragtime, and always over the top! You will be creating a pop-reveal mid-number to complete the piece in pasties. This heels-burlesque number is everything your exhibitionist heart can hope for!

  • Prereq: None! This is open to all levels! Routine can be adjusted to every level of dancer, challenges can be given to dancers with more experience while keeping beginner dancers feeling confident and fabulous!

  • Costume: MANDATORY > emerald green pasties (no tassels), black over-breast corset with velcro,fastening in front and emerald green laces in back. The other items can be any burlesque themed pieces as long as they are emerald green, black, gold, or diamonds (no silver, white, or other colors). Heels in black, emerald green or diamonds.

MATURE CONTENT 50+ Vixens with Dori
(beginner-open level)

  • Description: Viewer discretion advised…there may be scenes of confidence over the age of 50…themes and content are for mature audiences only! If you are 50+ and seeking to embrace your power as a woman who now gives less fucks, who is done with being told what to do and how to be, and you want to be around like minded women in your same stage of life…we see you, Vixen, we are you, and we got you!!!

In this 10 week program, you will be embraced in your powerful female form through dance and community. Dori Hill, dance goddess, movement maven, and life coach queen is your guide as she takes you through an hour each week exploring sensual dance in a mature body. Dori is also over the age of 50 so she fully understands the journey of how our bodies, minds, and souls melt wide open in this stage of life and how dance can help us ground, express and claim our space. You will have the option to simply train for the 10 weeks in the studio, OR to take the 10 week training and share it on stage in our January production. We understand that not everyone desires the stage, and we respect that. But for those who do, the curtains are open and the show is about to begin!!

  • You are welcome to come into this dance group with absolutely no dance experience. It will be taught at a beginner level, with the ability to adapt material for those who do have previous dance experience.

  • Costume: This will be a sensual disco-inspired theme. Heels are not required, but are optional for those who wish to! Dance slippers, clean, indoor runners, or socks are all options. Performance costume, for those who will be on stage, will be discussed in the first few weeks of class.

  • Description: This class is a great way for beginner dancers to learn hip hop foundations and a basic understanding of grooving. You’ll learn a fun, high energy routine set to a mash up of hip hop movie favourites! Please wear baggy pants and clean, indoor sneakers to class. You will learn the beginner portion with your group and then share the stage for a small portion with the int/adv group, as done in our previous show, The Sphere of Destiny.

  • Prereq: none

  • Costume: will be discussed at the first class, but it will be denim based.

  • Description: This is for those with existing experience in hip hop who are looking to take their skills to the next level and dive into performability. If you LOVE hip hop, this series is for you! You will learn the int/adv portion with your group and then share the stage for a small portion with the Beginner group, as done in our previous show, The Sphere of Destiny. Participants are required to attend all rehearsals, please do not register for this series if you know you will be absent from any of the rehearsals.

  • Prereq: At least one completed session of Intermediate 2 LUVEN or equivalent Hip Hop training.

  • Costume: to be discussed at the first class

  • Description: This number holds nothing back in the sexy AF scene of The Almost Late Show! Live your best vixen life in your stilts for heels. This routine is for the pole ballerina that wants to take up space and dance like the world is her stage waiting for her to light it on fire! Be prepared to work closely with a partner, consensual physical touch to be expected. There will be parts of this routine done on the pole and parts done on the floor.

  • Prereq: Can proficiently and confidently climb and invert, hands free inversion & outside leg hang.

  • Costume: Platform Heels, remainder to be discussed at the first class
