Roger was a graduate of Cortiva Institute of Massage therapy in Chicago, IL in 2012 and a graduate of the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in Boulder, CO in 2016. He has gone through various trainings specific to SIJ dysfunctions, whiplash and Dermonueromodulation. On a pressure scale he works comfortably between 4 to 8, 8 being the deepest. Roger does not offer prenatal bodywork. A typical session with Roger starts with a detailed intake and assesment, followed by specific bodywork techniques using movement cues and client participation as well as mobilizations and stretching. Client feedback or questions are always encouraged at any moment during the session. Although massage can be relaxing, Roger's sessions are always goal oriented and clinical and professional.
Rolfing is a 10 part series of sessions that has the ability to reset the body's nervous system and reorganize every part of the body so that it is easier to move painfree and with less stress. Each session has a specific goal and area to work in such as working with the ribs to promote deeper breathing, stabilizing the feet to create more support for the rest of the body and releasing the neck and shoulders to restore posture. Rolfing is not deep tissue massage.
