Like most businesses, COVID-19 hit the music industry hard, and music schools like the Morris Music Academy have been forced to close their doors and pivot to a virtual model.<\/p>\n

Since 2011, the Morris Music Academy<\/a>\u2014in Jacksonville Beach, Florida\u2014has been teaching private one-to-one music lessons to its students. They teach most band and orchestra instruments: voice, guitar, violin, piano, harp, saxophone, trumpet, flute, and clarinet.<\/p>\n

Luckily for owner Tracy Morris, his business continues to thrive, and he owes it all to the video conferencing platform Zoom and business management software\u2014WellnessLiving.<\/p>\n

Morris Music Academy\u2019s experience going virtual with Zoom<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s been a rough time for music schools over the past few months. However, while other music schools have seen a drop in business up to 30%, Morris Music Academy only saw a slight drop of 9%-10%\u2014as just a small portion of their student population, aged 60+ years old, had decided against the online model.<\/p>\n

In the past, Tracy had certain students move away from Jacksonville Beach, but they wanted to continue to study with Morris Music Academy, so he did make the online option available to them. But now music lessons are 100% online, and Zoom<\/a> and WellnessLiving have played a huge role in allowing Tracy and his staff to pivot seamlessly.<\/p>\n
