Introduction<\/h2>\n

Lisa Conrow didn\u2019t plan on starting a wellness empire in Akron, Ohio. But after years in New York\u2014where she immersed herself in studying the arts, fitness, and holistic nutrition\u2014Lisa returned to Ohio to raise her children. She took a role at the Cleveland Clinic\u2019s wellness program, where she saw firsthand the power of integrating movement with long-term health and prevention. But in Akron, few if any places were offering that kind of whole-person approach.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was nothing in the Akron area for Pilates,\u201d she said. \u201cPeople didn\u2019t even know what a Reformer was.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She started small\u2014teaching out of the back of the wellness center, then renting a single room in a friend\u2019s yoga studio. But demand kept growing. Eventually, she opened her own space.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want everything to be about strength training, or stretching, or spirituality\u2026 because then people get stuck,\u201d she explained. \u201cI want them to go from A to B to C to D\u2014everything that\u2019s going to give them opportunities to find wellness.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Someone recovering from childbirth might be directed to calming infrared yoga, while a marathon runner could be guided to cross-training and mobility classes.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir paths are always changing. Always,\u201d she said. \u201cBecause we get older, we get injuries, we retire… So we help people figure out what\u2019s right for them now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

PeaceCore isn\u2019t a one-size-fits-all studio. It\u2019s a model for what community-centered wellness can look like\u2014deeply personal, ever-evolving, and rooted in the belief that transformation happens when people feel safe, seen, and supported.<\/p>\n

The Challenge: Managing Growth Across a Multi-Modality Wellness Studio<\/h2>\n

Running a diverse and fast-growing studio came with challenges. As her client base grew, so did the complexity\u2014more equipment, more instructors, more service offerings.<\/p>\n

Scheduling became difficult to manage. Lisa recalls the early days:<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople would just tell me they were coming to class. Then it was Google Sheets. I couldn\u2019t keep up with 50 or 75 people\u2019s schedules anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
