A reference to the strength of Muhammad Ali and a precise description of what happens inside the studio \u2014 movement that is both grounded and fluid, strong and quiet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cortni Tyson spent a decade as a massage therapist before deciding that the work she wanted to do could not live inside any single modality. Stretch therapy was where she and her business partner, Sherria Black, first crossed paths \u2014 Cortni working hands-on, Sherria teaching yoga. The more they collaborated, the clearer the gap in the local market became. Clients did not need another massage studio or another yoga studio. They needed a place where stretch, massage, yoga, and recovery were treated as one connected practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That place became The Healing Haven Collective, in Akron\u2019s I PROMISE neighborhood \u2014 up the street from the LeBron James Family Foundation\u2019s House Three Thirty<\/a>. Luxury wellness, rooted in intention and restoration. That is the brand promise. The studio was designed to deliver on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Healing Haven Collective is a wellness center, not a yoga studio and not a spa. Cortni and Sherria are careful about that distinction. Stretch therapy is the core service. Massage and yoga sit alongside it as mobility maintenance. The recovery side \u2014 contrast therapy, sauna, a soundscape reset room, Normatec compression, an herbal tea bar \u2014 is built to be experienced as part of the same ritual, not as an add-on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOur core service is stretch, and then our massage and yoga is for mobility maintenance. They\u2019re each kind of the core service, but our focus is stretch thearpy as the main.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n The studio caps at ten. Cortni is the licensed massage therapist and stretch practitioner. Sherria teaches yoga and stretch. Family members handle the front desk: tours, check-ins, consultations. The operation is boutique by design, and it will stay that way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The service menu runs across four disciplines. Stretch therapy sessions run 30 and 60 minutes and are positioned as the signature offering. Massage therapy is available in multiple durations, with a couples option for partners booking simultaneously. Yoga runs in restorative and all-levels Vinyasa formats, capped at ten participants per session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Recovery amenities are bookable in 30-minute increments: a contrast therapy room with hot and cold plunge, a sauna, a Normatec compression room, the Revive Room, and the Reset Room \u2014 a soundscape space with chaises and beanbags built for stillness. The herbal tea bar is self-serve. Locally sourced retail, including cold-pressed juices from a local supplier and branded merchandise, rounds out the offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Memberships \u2014 the Practice, the Ritual, and the Lifestyle \u2014 anchor the revenue model. Each tier gives members a pool of credits to spend across the full menu. Credits are weighted by service: shorter amenity sessions cost fewer credits, longer massage or stretch sessions cost more. The goal is to keep clients moving between modalities rather than locking into one. A Founders Membership tier gives early members more credits at the same monthly rate. Drop-ins, single-service packages, and consultation appointments sit alongside the membership tiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cortni and Sherria evaluated several platforms before making the call. Most handled scheduling but forced workarounds everywhere else. WellnessLiving handled everything in one place, and that consolidation was the deciding factor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI felt like you guys had a little bit more of everything all-in-one<\/a>,\u201d Cortni said, \u201cwith POS and the retail, customer profiles and credit system, rewards program, and all of that.\u201d WellnessLiving was just what she was looking for. A single system that covered everything without requiring additional tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The credit-based membership model was the harder test. Credits were weighted by service length and modality, across appointments, classes, and bookable amenities, all under auto-renewing memberships with attendance restrictions. That is not standard studio software logic. WellnessLiving\u2019s time-based session passes<\/a>, purchase option engine, and shared client relationships handled the model natively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The recovery rooms added another constraint. The sauna, contrast therapy suite, Normatec room, and Reset Room needed to be reservable as standalone spaces, independent of any practitioner\u2019s calendar. WellnessLiving\u2019s asset-based booking<\/a> solved a problem that had blocked other platforms during their evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The branded app sealed it.<\/a> Both founders wanted the business on their members\u2019 home screens under their own name. \u201cThat branded app, that\u2019s really definitely sets us apart from our competition,\u201d Cortni said. The higher-tier plan included unlimited push notifications, an announcement feature, and in-app reviews \u2014 all without a separate marketing platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The I PROMISE neighborhood now has a crucial resource it did not have before. A wellness center where someone can book a stretch session, move to the sauna, close the day in the Reset Room, and leave feeling like a different version of themselves than the one who walked in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cortni and Sherria built this because they watched clients need it \u2014 in the rooms where they were already working, one practitioner at a time. They saw what happened when stretch, massage, and yoga were treated as connected rather than separate.
