Having suffered chronic pain herself, Andrea knew just what her clients were looking for. Within a year and a half, her calendar was so full that she had to expand. \u201c<\/span>I started the dream<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> around the spring of 2016. I got an accountant and started a process of building a business.\u201d Finally, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/1massageatatime.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One Massage at a Time<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> opened its doors for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-mindbody-fell-short-for-one-massage-at-a-time\">Why MindBody Fell Short for One Massage At A Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having worked as an IT analyst in the past and understanding how software can contribute to the success of a business, Andrea did not hesitate to find a business management software right off the bat. Armed with <\/span>years of knowledge and experience<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Andrea took her first steps into the world of massage therapy and scheduling software. \u201cI started researching everything; at one time, I had four different subscriptions and was only using one because I needed something that\u2019s very powerful that could start off small. But if I grew and had more therapists and other locations, I need a software that would be able to handle [that].\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eventually, she found what seemed to be her best choice. \u201c<\/span>I wasn\u2019t convinced MindBody was the right one for me<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, but in the summer of 2016, I started because they advertised that it could do all of the things I was looking for.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But, as many other business owners soon discovered, using MindBody means paying additional fees to third-party software providers. \u201cBefore I knew it, I had <\/span>four more forms and four more bills<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The worst part was that I literally had different dashboards that I had to use in order to see any of my information. It felt so clunky. It has no continuity. If you wanted to do one task, you had to learn how to do it in four different places.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cMy opinion was not significant enough. They wouldn\u2019t own up to it. As far as I\u2019m concerned, the company is bad. I have nothing but bad things to say.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-endless-frustration\">Endless Frustration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her frustrations didn\u2019t end there. After committing to MindBody, Andrea wasn\u2019t about to give up after just one issue. \u201cI\u2019ve already made the investment, I\u2019ve already put the money down, and there\u2019s no way out. I was thinking I made a mistake, but I gotta make the best of it. Maybe it\u2019ll be better once it\u2019s all set up and running. <\/span>I told myself all of these excuses about why it would be OK for six months<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And soon, she had to contact customer support to ask for help with the program. When the agent couldn\u2019t provide a solution for her problem, Andrea delved into the software herself. Although she had only recently begun to work with it, she was able to find a serviceable solution to her own problem. \u201cAnd I was just like, \u2018<\/span>Oh my gosh, I am with the wrong company<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u2019 I was just furious that this was this man\u2019s job, and I, in a matter of minutes, figured out a workaround to my process with his module.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After <\/span>months of errors, hundreds of hours, and thousands of dollars<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, enough was enough for Andrea. Having never gone fully live with the program, she requested some sort of recognition of the broken promises from upper management, but her complaints were ignored. \u201cMy opinion was not significant enough. They wouldn\u2019t own up to it. As far as I\u2019m concerned, the company is bad. I went to your site, started looking around, and I thought, \u201cNo. Nah, it doesn\u2019t! Where has this been? This seems super important to you, so I\u2019m not sure we\u2019re a good fit. Why don\u2019t you think about it and let me know?\u2019 We hung up and there was no pressure. He just left the door open. And <\/span>this quality of transparency and concern<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is actually more important to me. It only got better from there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re going to switch, now\u2019s the time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After falling in love with the software, Andrea realized that the thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars she had invested in MindBody had essentially been a waste.
