Had a fabulous time at my first Flirty Friday last night with the gorgeous Anthea leading our class. Brilliant vibe and lots of laughs trying out some smooth moves! We were all beginners but made to feel very comfortable. So proud of the final dance set that we smashed!! Such fun, can’t wait for next time.
I have a wide and varied background, starting my working career as a professional ice hockey player, playing at the highest level in the UK and representing Scotland and Great Britain. During this time, I gained qualifications in ‘Leisure and Amenities Management’. A career change saw me becoming a Police Officer for 16 years during which time, I was provided with the opportunity to move to Adelaide and joining SAPOL.
Diagnosed with two degenerative, neurological conditions between my late 30's and early 40's, I found my life devastated and a police career, no longer possible. A subsequent break up in my marriage left me mentally and physically ‘hanging by a thread’. With these experiences - the feelings of having my health and life out of control – I hit my lowest point ever! In my search for answers and cures, all I found was people looking to take advantage by selling me hopes and dreams – all with very little substance.
I created Breathe Stretch Float through my passion for helping people and desire to create a safe, non-judgmental space with a community feel – a sense of belonging - that brought together services with scientifically supported physical and mental health benefits - all in the one location. A space where people can connect, improve their wellbeing, feel great and enjoy their life to its fullest! I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our community that is Breathe Stretch Float!
