So…. I did a thing!
It was a Tibetan Cranial session with Sarah, and it was phenomenal. When you walk into a the Namaste Center, you feel an inviting and loving energy too marvelous for words. Sarah gave me an understanding of what the session would entail and then we began. It was certainly a relaxing and renewing experience that is already calling my soul back for more! I’m already working on a way to make Namaste Center a part of my life more often.
Ellen Hussey, PT discovered tai chi and qigong while attending a continuing education class for physical therapists. She immediately recognized the health benefits these ancient Chinese exercises offer including the promotion of calmness, improved balance, increased strength & flexibility and the stress relief offered by a mind-body connection. Ellen earned certifications through both Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Health Institute and Tricia Yu’s Tai Chi Health. She teaches both non-traditional and traditional Forms and incorporates qigong in every class. Ellen owned a tai chi studio in Wisconsin until 2020, when she and her husband, Brennan (also a practitioner at Namasté Healing & Wellness) moved to Evergreen. Her studio was filled with “players” ranging in age from teenagers to upper 80’s. Ellen professes the “ABC’s—Always Be Comfortable and her training includes modified Forms for those who prefer seated or standing with support. She is excited to share her love of the flowing, continuous movements, which are often called meditation in motion.
