About Timothy:
Timothy first began practicing meditation and studying energy
healing in the mid-1990s, this is when he was first exposed to
Reiki.
In 1998, he joined the U.S. Army as an infantryman with the
101st Airborne Division and the 1st Infantry Division. During his
seven years of honorable service, he attained the rank of Sergeant,
deployed three times during Operation Joint Guardian, and combat
Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004 to 2005.
When the uniform is hung up, service does not end. In 2007, Mr.
Grossman became an accredited advocate fo DAV, a 501(c)(4) veterans
organization representing 1.2 million veterans nationally. He later
went to work for Wounded Warrior Project® in Washington, D.C. the
nation's premier voice for Post 9/11 wounded, ill and injured,
whose programs encompass mind, body, and engagement.
It was within these later years he collaborated and most
importantly witnessed the growth that holistic programming had on
the minds, bodies, and spirits of traumatized persons and their
family units.
From 2016 to 2020, Mr. Grossman embraced his personal recovery
through reengaging with various meditation techniques, retreats,
holistic programming, with the support of a team of caring medical
professionals. Through this process, he was internally guided to
study and practice Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki alongside renewing and
refining his studies to teach mindfulness and meditation as a
co-modality.
With nearly 20 years experience as both a leader and mentoring,
training, and presentation experience at the individual, group, and
organizational level, Mr. Grossman is well qualified as a
facilitator and instructor. With a lifetime of engagement and
interest in the healing arts, Mr. Grossman's desire is to help all
who seek it, especially those who have experienced trauma or
illness in all its forms, to experience the benefits of Reiki and
mindful awareness.
Likewise, to teach others to develop a personal practice as a
means to enhance their healing of mind, body, and spirit so as to
begin their own unfolding in a manner that makes sense to each
person.
Mr. Grossman earned a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies
and Communications, magna cum laude, from Indiana Wesleyan
University. He is a Registered Usui/Holy Fire® III & Karuna
Reiki Master Teacher, a Professional Member of Reiki Membership
Association (RMA) through the International Center for Reiki
Training (ICRT).
He is also a Certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher
accredited by the International Mindfulness Teachers Association
(IMTA) and holds a Certificate in Consciousness Studies and
Self-Awareness from the Academy of Research for Cultivation of
Indian Sciences-ARCIS (Kolkata, West Bengal, India).
He has mentored and studied under several accomplished Usui
Reiki Master Teachers including Joan Ruggiero, Tracey Sullivan,
William Lee Rand, Suzanne Smith, and Bryce Goebel. He currently
studies under Frans Steine approaching his fourth Usui Reiki Master
(Shinpiden) level class.
