Matt is a special, one of a kind, master teacher. He really changed my life.
I’m 55 now and in the best mental and physical shape of my life. I always hated exercise, but now I’m mad if I can’t work with Matt at least 4-5 days a week.
I look forward to our time together, every time.
It’s been like that since my very first class 5-6 years ago, when he taught me how to do a proper pushup. This is more than exercise, this is life, or as Matt likes to say: learning resilience in uncooperative environments, if that’s not a metaphor for life I don’t know what is.
I can’t recommend him highly enough for martial arts, yoga, bodywork, general health, diet, mindset, everything. What he’s got stored in that weird little brain/body thing he’s got going on is mind blowing and the ways that he breaks it all down into the simplest do-able steps is amazing. And he does all it in the most encouraging, go at your own pace, low key, yet exacting way.
He’s a bad ass, a goofball, a master and a mensch. He’s the most healthy person I know and I’m the most healthy (and happy) I’ve ever been because he is my teacher.
He’s great with kids too, I actually train now with people he’s been teaching from when they were young and they are amazing practitioners and really cool grounded people as a result.
Be prepared to enjoy everything from Tibetan bells to ZZ Top (or your own breath) during classes.
Just go experience it for yourself. It’s literally one of the best things I’ve ever done. Ever. Seriously. Go.
