Deanna Dawson-Jesus became a practicing Birth Doula, Childbirth and Lactation Educator in 2001.She received her training with DONA International, and is currently certified with them. She has alsobeen a HypnoBirthing Practitioner/Instructor with The Mongan Method. Deanna has additionalextensive training in Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Perinatal Loss, and VBAC Support. She is also a chapter leader of the ICAN of SF East Bay. ICAN (The International Cesarean Awareness Network) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by reducing preventable cesareans through education, supporting cesarean recovery, and advocating for vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC)."I am so grateful to be an instructor at Blossom Birth and Family. I love teaching expectant parents the how and why to slow down in pregnancy and to prepare for their labor, birth and postpartum experiences. I try to make my classes vibrant and entertaining. I want anyone that comes to my class to feel more confident, in themselves and their own knowledge, to advocate for the birth experience they desire.
