I love Yoga One and the amazing vibe/instructors this studio provides! Jensen is so healing, 10/10 recommend.
In 2014, Shane left a 15 year career in cardiac technology to be a full time yoga teacher\therapist and teacher training director. While studying classical piano and working in medicine since leaving high school, he was introduced to yogic practices at the age of 30. In his first year of practice he was badly injured, tearing pelvic muscles. Left unable to practice the physical postures of yoga, over the next year he turned to psychosomatic therapy and meditation for healing. He then brought his years of previous anatomical study to the study of postures and movement, to help students prevent and heal injuries.
Shane reaches a wide array of students by teaching mainly two types of classes, Vinyasa Flow with music and a slower paced, alignment focused Hatha Flow without music. He brings 20 plus years of musical meditative experience to teaching harmony filled flow classes. Often he uses a harmonium or piano to play music or lead chanting. He teaches Hatha Flow, Vinyasa and Bhakti Flow classes and is the director of Yoga ONE’s 200 hours Teacher\Fundamentals of Yoga Training.
As a neuromuscular yoga therapist, Shane sees individual clients to help them overcome difficulties and pain related to joints, muscles and movement. Having paid many times himself for ineffective therapy, he guarantees results, or refers you on until you find the results you need.
His greatest advice to clients and students alike is to walk and meditate, and yoga will already be nearer.
