I recently introduced hot yoga into my life and have felt so welcomed at Tru for U. Instructors are knowledgeable, kind, and caring. I feel motivated to keep going to improve my health and wellness. I enjoy all classes but particularly love taking Kelly’s classes because they are challenging but relaxing at the same time. Her tailored yoga practice is a great mix of strength, flow, deep breathing, and relaxation. Kelly is so generous, and patient. She promotes non judgment by reminding yogis that everyone is different. This encourages me to become a student of my own body.
I truly believe in giving to receive, both in teaching and in healing. I am now in my 64th year and enjoy the enormous benefits that teaching and practicing yoga, meditation and providing healing treatments have brought to my life. I discovered yoga in my mid-40s as a tool to help me cope with Fibromyalgia, arthritis and the stress of a fast-paced corporate career.
Eventually, I realized how much my daily practice enriched my life on many levels and I was bitten by the “yoga bug!” Giving up the 9-to-5 grind to take my first Modo Teacher Training in 2004 was an easy decision and since then I have never looked back. I have been teaching for over 17 years and have had an active Reiki Practice for 27 years now. I Co-Founded/owned successful Moksha/Modo Yoga studios in both London and Brampton and have taught classes and workshops Nationally and Internationally. I am also a qualified Thai Yoga Massage Therapist, and truly enjoy offering healing Chakra Crystal Singing Bowl sounds bath treatments and classes.
During my 17-year journey, I have successfully completed over 2,000 hours of training, including Modo, Modo Level II, Pre-Natal, Baptiste Power Vinyasa, Meditation and Mindfulness, Yin & Restorative, Mom & Baby and I also work with private MVA clients. In 2015 I attained my Advanced Teaching Certification with the Sivananda International Organization. I am extremely passionate about teaching and practicing Holistic Healing modalities!
On a personal level, my family and I emigrated from our Motherland, England, almost 34 years ago. I'm super excited that we were recently blessed with our first GrandBaby - our handsome little fella arrived in November 2021. We relocated from London to Port Stanley three years ago, and I consider it an absolute honour and privilege to now serve my new Central Elgin community.
Age, shape, size, gender, nationality, race, abilities, strong, flexible, not strong, not flexible... please know yoga does not discriminate, everyone is welcome and I'd so love to meet you on your mat soon!
