I have been practicing Bikram Yoga at Yogaquest  For over 6 years.  For many years I struggled with Sacroiliac joint dysfunction and back pain.  This practice has healed my joints and back and I am now pain free.  I am so grateful for the staff and this practice not only for the physical benefits but but the benefits of my mental health.  The yoga instructors are very well informed in the practice of yoga and integrate knowledge of the benefits to the mind through mindfulness meditation, breath work, and staying in the present moment while practicing each posture.  I encourage anyone to take the opportunity to drop in and enjoy the many classes they have to offer!

I took my first Bikram class in 1999 and was immediately hooked. The consistent 26 poses and hot room kept me coming back. I knew I wanted to teach, but soon was expecting my first child. After Cate was born I started practicing again. With constant encouragement from my husband and Greg McCann, Oklahoma's first certified Bikram instructor, I attended teacher training in September 2001. It was an intense nine weeks that I'm grateful to have experienced. I loved teaching, but took a break to raise a family, six kids in all. Unfortunately I also stopped practicing. I'm so grateful to be back in the hot room. I didn't realize how much I needed it until I came back. The Bikram method energizes me from the inside out. Teaching again has been a blast! I love seeing many old faces and many new.
