Behavioral Fitness is on a mission to help people build a life they don't need a vacation from.  Founded by a Doctor of Behavioral Health and an Emergency Nurse, Behavioral Fitness brings behavioral science, principles from addiction medicine and the latest research on quality and longevity of life to help us all live better. Learn about the principles of the Blue Zones - the longest lived and healthiest communities and more. Through fun, engaging, and dynamic experiences, Behavioral Fitness is helping people update what it means to “be fit”. Join us at our new location in Walnut Creek, CA where the experience is intended to delight your senses and inspire new insights into yourself and others. Whether curious for yourself or you want to learn how you can help others with Behavioral Fitness, joining us means being part of something big and bright- something that the world needs. Please note that those listed on our site as “Staff” are our trusted and valued Community Partners. At this time we are unable to modify the language used and have requested this be changed in future platform updates. I’m taking the most awesome strength training class at Behavioral Fitness. Brian Aherling and Teri DeLaMontanya facilitate this class that has made an incredible difference in toning my body. Both instructors are so knowledgeable and I want to encourage others to join in. They provide all the weight training tools, Brian checks in with everyone to insure correct posture, and recommends alternative movements where needed. The facility is calming, background music is played, and it’s just a very warm and inclusive environment. My news programs have informed us for years about strengthening our bodies as we age for stability and bone strength, but lifting weights didn’t seem like my thing until I learned more from Teri and Brian. I look forward to this weekly class and I think you might too.
