My fitness journey began about nine years ago when I found myself as a single mother of two children with one of them being an infant. The only thing in my life I had control over was my body so I decided I would work on making my body look and feel better. I joined a gym and dedicated myself to go every day and try to do something. Some days it was just the elliptical. I worked up to circuit training and weightlifting and then I eventually got over my fear and joined a fitness class. I was nervous, scared and self-conscious. What if I mess it up? What if they talk about me? What if I am not good enough?I was so wrong! The people in that fitness class were encouraging, supportive and my biggest cheerleaders. I have loved group fitness ever since. It not only is good for my health but good for my mental state. It’s a way to be around like-minded people that share common goals. It’s about building a community and hey you might even find a best friend along the way So come out and try a class, we might mess up, but we will laugh and do it together!I am a Body Pump instructor. I am a mom. I am a student. I am a warrior.I am living the life I am chossing and so can you!
