Crystal De La Rosa is from the Rio Grande Valley where she began dancing at the age of 8, training in contemporary, jazz and hip-hop at her school's dance team and local dance studios. She has competed all over Texas and has received numerous awards for not only her solos, but for her choreography pieces starting at the age of 13. She then discovered her love for hip-hop and ever since has been training in different styles of hip-hop including, locking, housing, waacking, street jazz and many more. She soon began choreographing for many competition teams and fell in love with spreading her passion and knowledge of dance to others. She then moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas to major in Nutrition and Business Foundations. Here, she helped lead the co-ed hip-hop team, Redefined Dance Company, where they won two-time World of Dance Champions. She is now part of Austin hip-hop competitive team, EPEK. She is now fulfilling her dream and is now owner and dance director of ElectrikCITY Dance Movement, ready to spread the love of hip-hop across the Austin dance community.

Soomi is from San Antonio, not too far from Austin, Texas. She moved in 2010 for college at The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Human Development and Family Science. During college, she continued her passion to dance with KUSA Dance Crew, Redefined Dance Company, and the Filipino Student Association. After college, she joined EPEK and started this business with her best friend, Crystal! Soomi has been a member of all these teams, as well as earning leadership roles, and choreographed pieces for performance sets. She is business oriented and is driven to provide a lacking resource to the community by sharing great talents of dance in the genre of hip-hop to the Austin area! 

Ashlyn is from the Austin area and has trained in contemporary and hip hop for many years. She has been a part of pre-professional and professional companies, and will be teaching contemporary hip hop this year. She has danced on Austin Dance Works, Third Coast Contemporary, EPEK, and trained with Academy of Villains.

Bra'Kehri Frazier’s dance journey started at McCallum High School in 2008, at the age of 18 when he was encouraged by the dance teacher to sign up for class. Following, Bra'Kehri found a passion for dance. In the years after, he has danced on multiple teams, as well as creating Dynasty Dance Company, a local hip hop company consisting of multiple teams as well as a videography production division. Over the years he has taught all over Austin and loves to push his students. The styles he teaches include hip hop, dance hall, voguing, waaking, street funk, house, and heels.

Daniel Broxton is an urban dancer from Austin, Texas. Daniel has been dancing since he was 8 years old and teaching for 7 years. He currently directs the Akins Dare To Dream Hip Hop team and an Adult dance company called New Genesis. Daniel is a working choreographer, teacher, and director. Daniel has trained with many teachers, performed with professional companies, and choreographed for many artists and events. His goal is to create more opportunity for Austin and the dance community as a whole.

David Cha has been part of multiple dance teams since high school and most recently choreographed for award winning teams like UT FSA Modern and Redefined Dance Company. His classes will focus on teaching through the topic of motion and be divided into 2 types: freestyle and choreography. Although there is a separation, both class types will touch upon topics that are mutually applicable so be sure to attend both. In his freestyle classes you can expect to be given time and space to experiment freely with ideas and concepts that he curates for his students based on community and individual needs. In his choreography classes he will teach not just a piece of choreography but how to learn, execute, and improve based on the piece for that day. He is so excited to share and learn with everyone!

Jason Rhodes is from the Austin area. After growing up in a studio he now travels to take classes in Dallas, Houston, and L.A. Jason was also apart of Austin’s competitive team, EPEK, for two seasons and currently dances with New Genesis, a performance company based in Austin. He loves to teach and strives to make each class a different experience and engage as many people as possible.

Lahm Nguyen started his dance journey at Purdue University. There, he had the chance to hone his skills and perform all over the Midwest with his team at the time, Dance 2XS. Now residing in Austin, he continues to work on his craft. He was a part of Redefined Dance Co. and now a choreographer for EPEK. Specializing in urban choreography, his style ranges from slow, sexy RnB to swaggy mainstream hip hop. But one thing for sure, you’ll be getting that typical Asian boy choreography style from him. Whether dancing in his living room, in a studio, or on stage with his team, he hopes to be able to exchange and grow with all the movers he comes across.

Ray Moore is from the DMV area where he started dancing at 18 years old. He started out self taught in his room before dancing with various studios. Since then he has been a part of three companies, Fierce Collabo, Culture Shock DC and L.E.D. Ray has trained under many professional dancers such as Laura Edwards, Fresh Redding, Gary Beauford and many more. He relocated to Austin in 2019, hoping to bring his fluid and sensual style, movement, and knowledge to the Austin community. Ray loves high energy, and fun in his classes. Even though he’s laid back, he wants everyone to push their hardest, achieve their dance goals, and most importantly have fun! It’s lit!

Sam Finley is from Plano, Tx and found her love for dance at the age of 9. She has been lucky enough to compete with competitive hip-hop teams including the Renegades Elite Company, The Neighborhood, Soreal, and RDC. She is currently the director of Redefined Dance Company at The University of Texas in Austin. She has found a home in the Texas hip-hip dance community and she considers all of these teams her family! Sam specializes in urban choreography; especially anything groovy, smooth, or wavy. She truly hopes to have a lasting exchange with all the movers she encounters; An exchange filled with a genuine love and passion for dance.

Shakell started dancing in 2012 with Redefined Dance Company getting to meet and train under the best in Austin and Houston. This journey of dance led her to also join KDC Dance Crew in 2014 where she discovered the beauty of cover dance/videos . Having been a part of RDC, KDC, FSA, and EPEK by either dancing, choreographing, or teaching, her style of dance ranges from R&B and Hip-Hop to waacking, locking, and a bit of footwork. She has no discrimiation between girl and boy KPOP groups and just want to spread her love and appreciation of dance covers to everyone. So if you want to learn the moves of your biases or some original grooves to the bops without choreo then come dance with yo girl.

Shepherd Allen is a Texas born and bred choreographer who started teaching when he was 14 due to a knowledge of dance instruction given by his father. Teaching at local studios helped him develop his own style and he started teaching at Ballet Austin in his very early 20’s. From there he was able to be in music videos, backup for artists tours and was also featured on television (audition level) for so you think you can dance (2 seasons) and was voted fan favorite on the television show “A Chance to Dance”. His current mission is keeping the passion in Austin hip hop and breeding true artists on an individual level.

NDA National Champion And World Champion. Solomon Towry is an “All Styles” dancer and choreographer. Coming from Dallas after years of competing at World Of Dance with The Renegades and training under Jordan Johnson Productions. Solomon pursued his own endeavors and moved to Austin to co-create •PBLC3NMY• a Commercial based dance company and •BATTL3SHIP• a 1v1 Open Styles Dance Competition on a two-story Boat in Austin. Solomon is one of our Foundation teachers for this years staff!

Dancing for over 15 years, Valentin Hernandez has accomplished many things and has grown to be a fine choreographer, director, and mentor. Valentin's dancing consists of swift intention, and creative choreography. He is energetic, has excellent coordination, confidence, uncommon stamina and strong musicality.He continues to train and grow as well. To this day he still attends many classes, workshops, and intensives from various choreographers and instructors. He applies what he learns to how he teaches his students as well. He has been a part of competitive teams such as Brown Bag Special, Redefined Dance Company and The Neighborhood. As a teacher, he tries to portray hip hop more than what is known about the current existence and background of each fundamental.

Will Walker was born and raised right here in Austin! He is humbly celebrating his 16th year of being a Dance Educator. Growing up as the baby of 5 siblings, recreational dance was not always afforded to him. However, with the help of a hand full of outstanding teachers, his parent’s kitchen counter, and his drive to want to succeed, this self-made dancer has proven that you can have anything you want, if you’re willing to work for it. His career has taken him across this great nation and abroad. From Film, Musicals, Videos, Concerts, Conventions, Workshops, Youth Competitive Dance, Adjudication, Cruse-line, Drill Team, etc. it has been his consistent goal to expose himself to all forms of performance. With over 10,000 hours of classroom instruction, his next move is to serve quality dance training to the lower income communities of Austin. He will accomplish this by returning to the University of Texas in Austin, graduate with a BFA in Dance, and apply his passion in the Austin and surrounding school districts as a certified teacher. Hip Hop will always be his first love, Ballet is his center, Contemporary/Lyrical is his soul, Jazz is his flame, Tap is his special way of hearing music, and his Heels... well that’s how he carries himself, confidently and unapologetic. In his opinion, the greatest gift is not being talented, it’s being talented enough to share it with everyone. Will Walker is and will always be an advocate for the Austin Dance Community!
