Chicago native Gerhon (Gery) was born and raised in Rogers Park. He's been training in dance since 16 but was casually dancing at home since 3. In 2012, Moore graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a major in Dance, concentration in Dance Studies, and minored in Cultural Studies. Trained in a variety of styles, vogue and modern are the forms used most when creating work. Gery has worked with music artists Dani Deahl and Big Dipper, to choreographers Darrell Jones, Pia Hamilton, Lin Shook, J'Sun Howard, Jarret Rashad Kelly, Kirby Reed, Pedro Mercado amongst others. Moore has been a dance panelist and taught at Columbia College Dance Center, co taught at the University of Chicago, and taught at the School of the Art Institute Chicago. He currently teaches yoga at Texture Dance Studio, youth hip hop at Dovetail Studios, and is a writer for See Chicago Dance. He’s taught at Caz Performing Arts Family Camp since 2015.
