Cesar

Cesar Coelho is one of the most well rounded contemporary Tango dancers of this time, dynamic performer, excellent instructor and one of Hernan’s best friends!

His background in several modern dance forms and his extensive experience with tango in his native Buenos Aires gives him an approach to Tango that is ground-breaking, yet firmly rooted in the traditions of the form.

His lessons successfully combine the technical analysis of movement, the sensory interpretation of music and the true fundamentals of this passionate dance: How to interpret the music, and develop the following within the body.

He combines different dance techniques such as modern Jazz and classical Ballet, masterfully incorporating other dance forms in tango, which allows him to expand his tango into more complete dance, but always preserving the true essence and soul of Tango. This is what makes his form of teaching and dancing so unique.

Cesar belongs to a traditional family of dancers and has been introduced to tango by his father. He then spent years developing and personalizing his individual style and further exploring the tango with renowned masters.

Cesar’s Tango debut was at the early age of 17 performing with the master Juan Carlos Copes. In Buenos Aires Cesar performed in the most prestigious Tango houses of Argentina.

In 1997 he formed part of the “Oscar” Nominated film “Tango” by Saura and in 1999 he joined the Broadway show “Forever Tango” as the lead dancer for their first performance in Japan. He was also  part of “Tango Passion”company featuring “Sexteto Mayor”in 2003.

He had traveled throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa performing in many prestigious theaters around the world such as the “ Lincoln Center” in New York, “Des Champs Elysees” In Paris, and the unforgettable “Teatro Colon” Opera House in Buenos Aires.

Among others experiences, he has perform in various television events world wide and in the Argentine Film “Suenos Atomicos” next to Miguel Angel Zotto.
