My first Modern with Yvonne Gagliardo class from Aging Creatively series was inspiring, beautiful and challenging. I turned 55 last summer, and was contemplating joining San Diego Dance Theater's classes for 55+ ever since. Today, I finally found courage to try one such class. The teacher and the dancers were very welcoming and gave me lots of praise. I really enjoyed proper dance routines, and dance combinations. I had not done any dancing for a really long time, so it was a comforting feeling that I still have some movement left in my body.
Mario Jaimes is a technically trained dance maker with seven years of experience in modern, hip hop, and jazz. He graduated from San Diego State University in 2016 with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Management. Mario joined San Diego Dance Theater in 2018. He has also performed with Eastlake Dance Company, University Dance Company, Malashock Dance, and Bite Dance Company.
