KJ was great! Provided (cultural) context behind the movements, corrections, and a bit of comic relief, too. So great to be outside. Also, happy to see that folx in the park weren't bothered by us. A completely joyful experience. See you next week, Socaholics! :)
Seanna Bailey is a powerful artist who constructs with a unique perspective. She feeds solely on the connection of the mind, body and heart when dancing and creating. Born and raised in Lantz, Nova Scotia, Seanna began her extensive training in various styles such as Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip hop, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Modern at R.S.I. Danceworks. As she continued through her training, she became a competitive dancer, which opened a tremendous amount of doors for opportunity. Traveling to Los Angeles (BeDiscovered/Choreographers Carnival) and Greece (View Dance Challenge) for intensive training and major performance opportunities were a trivial part of her journey. Taking all the knowledge and passion from her past, she is on a new path as an emerging artist in Toronto. She has had the pleasure of dancing with Inhayle Dance Company (Urban Contemporary based) led by Hayley Payone, as well as now dancing and choreographing as a member of the Unapologetic Dance Collective, artistically directed by Kahvontay Slaughter and Kaitlin Kawam. Seanna is focusing on exploring movement and pushing the barriers of the dance world with her intricate style and vision.
