I have been out of touch with classes for three months and just took Seanna's Contemporary fusion for the first time. she warned it might be hard, so i got scared but she took it slow and broke down the steps enough to pick up like i never missed a class! It was a great class!
Trina grew up in Moose Jaw, SK, where she began dancing at the
age of 4. After completing a degree at the University of
Saskatchewan, Trina followed her love of dance to New York City
where she trained at both Broadway Dance Centre and Steps on
Broadway. While in NYC, Trina was honoured to perform in 'Dedicated
to Dance', a tribute show that highlighted Broadway dancer Alan
Onickel's impressive career. Trina was also hired out of NYC for a
year-long European Tour with the show, 'Magic of the Dance'. As a
featured tap dancer in Magic of the Dance, she was interviewed for
a CBC broadcast due to the show's success. Next, Trina toured Asia
with one of her favourite musicals of all time, '42nd Street'.
Working with Tony Award nominated producer, Mark Bramble, was a
highlight of her career. While in China, Trina also performed on
the season finale of 'My Show', (China Idol).
Since moving to Toronto, Trina has co-founded Vintage Taps; a song/dance group with a focus on Vaudeville Era tap dancing. Trina has also performed with the Toronto Rhythm Initiative, Soul Symposium, Sapphire Dance Productions, Studio 60, KOKUS Productions, and the JL Experience. Venues have included the Fringe Festival, Talent Defined, Bazaar, Comedy Tonight, PRIDE, MTV Canada, and the Stella Adler Theatre on Hollywood Blvd, CA.
