I have been out of touch with classes for three months and just took Seanna's Contemporary fusion for the first time. she warned it might be hard, so i got scared but she took it slow and broke down the steps enough to pick up like i never missed a class! It was a great class!
sarah koekkoek is an independent dance artist, choreographer
and trauma informed educator based in Toronto/Tkarón:to. After
receiving classical ballet training from The Royal Winnipeg Ballet
School sarah went on to perform with some of Canada's largest
ballet companies (Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Ballet Jorgen and
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet). sarah believes that ballet is NOT the
foundation of all dance and is acting to uphold anatomically
personal sound and safe ballet practices in the classes she
teaches. This means focusing more on energy distribution and less
on aesthetic “ideals”. sarah continues to study movement and
choreography through experimental movement exploration and
participating in residencies at Banning Bouldins Nashville company
New Dialect, The Banff Centre of the Arts where she worked with
Gabrielle Lamb, Eric Beauchesne (Kidd Pivot), Toer Von Schayk,
Merrill Ashley and dancers from Sharon Eyals L.E.V.. Also working
as a dancer for Jasmyn Fyffe in the New Blue Festival, Valance
Movement (Jamee Valin), IO Movement (Lauren Runions) as well as
