Term<\/strong><\/td>Definition<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Appointment<\/strong><\/td>A one-on-one service between a client and a staff member. Typically, the client selects the time, location, and staff member from available options. Some appointments allow multiple clients to participate.<\/td><\/tr>
Business<\/strong><\/td>In WellnessLiving, a business refers to a customer.<\/td><\/tr>
Class<\/strong><\/td>A class consists of a series of sessions offered by a business and led by at least one staff member. The business selects the time, location, and staff member for each class. Clients can “drop in” and attend any available session. Unlike events, clients are not required to attend every session of a class.<\/td><\/tr>
Class period<\/strong><\/td>For recurring classes, a class period refers to the scheduled time and day of the week for each class session. It also includes a date range specifying the start and end dates of the class. If the end date is 0000-00-00<\/code>, the class will continue indefinitely at that time and day of the week.<\/td><\/tr>
Client<\/strong><\/td>In WellnessLiving, a client refers to a customer of a business. A client can belong to more than one business, in which case their profile information is shared across businesses.<\/td><\/tr>
Customer<\/strong><\/td>In WellnessLiving, a customer refers to a business. For more information, see Business<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr>
Event<\/strong><\/td>An event is a self-contained series of sessions offered by a business and led by at least one staff member. Clients are expected to pay for the entire series in advance and attend each scheduled session in chronological order.<\/td><\/tr>
Location<\/strong><\/td>In WellnessLiving, a location refers to the physical premises of a business. A business can have multiple associated locations.<\/td><\/tr>
Membership<\/strong><\/td>A membership is a Purchase Option that allows a client to attend selected services for a specified period. For example, a client can use a three-month membership to attend a class for three months.<\/td><\/tr>
Pass<\/strong><\/td>A pass (also known as a session pass) is a Purchase Option that allows a client to attend selected services a set number of times. For example, a client may purchase a pass permitting them to attend 10 appointments.<\/td><\/tr>
Purchase Option<\/strong><\/td>A Purchase Option is a method used by a client to pay for a service. Passes and memberships are examples of Purchase Options. Clients may also be able to book a single session with a drop-in rate, which counts as a Purchase Option for SDK purposes.<\/td><\/tr>
Service<\/strong><\/td>In WellnessLiving, a service refers to a class, event, or appointment.<\/td><\/tr>
Session<\/strong><\/td>A session is an instance of a service, scheduled at a specific date, time, and location. For example, a class that occurs every weeknight at 6:00 PM consists of five sessions per week.<\/td><\/tr>
Staff member<\/strong><\/td>A staff member is an employee of a business. Based on their assigned role, a staff member\u2019s privileges determine what actions they can perform in the system.\u00a0<\/td><\/tr>
