In this two-hour educational workshop, Dr. Courtni Hale will explore the history, research, cultural context, and emerging science surrounding plant medicine and psychedelic experiences. Topics will include microdosing, ayahuasca, sacred ceremony, neuroplasticity, nervous-system regulation, the role of the ceremonial leader, and the importance of preparation and integration. The workshop will also include a guided sound healing journey through a completely non-pharmacological experience designed to support relaxation, focused awareness, nervous-system regulation, and shifts in brain-wave activity.
Dr. Hale brings 25 years of experience as a plant medicine practitioner, along with Native American tribal ancestry, a medicine legacy connected to the American Southwest, and teachings received through international councils and respected elders.
The conversation will also examine why people can become neurologically and emotionally “stuck” during periods of prolonged stress, mental health challenges, major life transitions, or aging. Emerging research suggests that altered states, nervous-system regulation, breathwork, sound, and carefully facilitated experiences may help interrupt rigid patterns, support neuroplasticity, and create greater capacity for healing and change.
This program is educational in nature. It does not recommend for or against psychedelics, entheogens, medications, or any specific treatment. No psychedelic or pharmacological substances will be provided or consumed. The session will include a general discussion of the evolving legal landscape surrounding plant medicines and psychedelic-assisted therapies.
