School Director, OwnerContemporary, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap lower levels, ballet & tap combo, creative movementIn 2005, Lindsay opened the school in Lakewood with a goal of establishing a dance school of the highest caliber, offering various techniques, and in a positive environment to shape dancers as dancers AND as individuals. The School relocated to Mockingbird Lane at the end of 2012 and is beginning the 20th season.Lindsay builds programs for all dancers: preschool/kinder program, recreational classes for all ages, pre-professional program, & the adult program. Lindsay started the first extensive adult dance program in Dallas when many studios did not value allotting time on their schedules. Today Contemporary Ballet Dallas has the largest adult dance program in the Dallas metroplex. The School’s Youth Performing Companies have grown over the years offering “Contemporarry” Youth Ballet Company, Contemporary Tap Ensemble, and Contemporary Hip Hop & Jazz Team. Lindsay’s students have been accepted for dance into Booker T Washington HSPVA, Point Park University. NYU Tisch School of the Arts, SMU and more. Many students have gone on to dance in Musical theater, modern, ballet, and jazz companies, perform for Disney and careers in modeling.Contemporary continues to support upcoming artists in their endeavors to create as well, serving as a home for dance companies to work and create their visions.Lindsay is a Dallas native, trained in RAD ballet technique as a child and teen receiving highest marks in grades and majors exams through intermediate majors level. Lindsay graduated St. Rita, Ursuline Academy of Dallas, SMU & graduated cum laude with a BFA in dance performance, has performed with Casa Manana, Austin Musical Theater, 10 years performing with former non-profit Dance Company Contemporary Ballet Dallas, as well as talent at events including Dallas Crystal Charity Ball, The Sweetheart Ball, and Neiman Marcus. She was the assistant artistic director of the former non-profit Contemporary Ballet Dallas Company for 10 years.In addition to managing the development of the school, she is versatile in teaching ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, pointe, and conditioning, as well as musical theatre, and character dance.
