Nanda

Nanda began practicing Hatha Yoga in 2002 as a means to re-center and revitalize during law school. While living in Boston, Washington D.C., and now Albany, she studied and practiced with teachers across different yoga styles, including Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Baptiste power yoga. Nanda believes that Yoga is a powerful journey inward, and her practice is influenced by her lifelong experience in Bhakti Yoga and her family roots in India. She creates an open and compassionate environment as she guides her students to cultivate the integrity of each asana, and an authentic connection of breath, mind, body and spirit. Nanda was mentored and trained by Jennilee Toner, and she is a 200 hour registered teacher through Yoga Alliance. She is excited to begin her 300hr training with Gopi Kinnicutt this Spring. When she is not on her mat, Nanda enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, son, and American Bulldog.
