I hurt my lower back while playing soccer and was in immense pain. I went to the chiropractor, did acupuncture, but nothing was helping to manage my pain. I went to functional patterns and saw immediate results. Not only did they help ease my lower back pain but they also helped me reach my fitness goals. I personally feel like a trainer at a regular gym just makes a plan and tells me to lift weights. However, Brandon at FP Texas is very good at telling you how to specifically correct your posture and the way you move while being active. This leads to overall fitness and long term healthy posture.

What is Functional Patterns?

The Functional Patterns Training system is based on the biological blueprint found in our genetic traits. Be developing strength in the neuro-myo-fascial kinetic chains (connection from the ground up), we can optimize the human body’s capacity to function in all planes of motion. This ensures sustainable and pain free movement that respects human biomechanics.

We begin by aligning posture and amending breathing mechanics, resulting in improved structural integrity. This allows the body to adapt through dynamic corrective exercises that enhances the gait cycle. Ultimately, breathing, walking, running, and throwing are the foundations that dictate how efficiently we move. By prioritizing these evolutionary movements, we can enhance the athletic performance of the individual, producing proficient patterns in the body. When optimal gait mechanics have been wired into the body, it becomes more adaptable and able to manage the stressors of everyday life, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Orienting training around these ideas can ultimately help with correcting structural deficiencies in your posture, alleviate your joint pain, increase athletic performance, and lead you on the path to moving intentionally, not habitually.
