What inspired you to join the Vitality Fitness team?
Dave MacDonald - owner and head trainer:) In 2011, I walked into the gym, not knowing what to expect, intimidated by the strength of some of the members and wondering if I would fit in. After my second class, I became a member and by the end of the year, I was interning to become a trainer. I was inspired by Dave's passion for fitness and for wanting to make a difference in the lives of each person who walked through the door. Dave is a motivator, a teacher, a coach, has a hunger for personal and professional growth, understands his client group and is open to feedback to make Vitality Fitness the best experience for all. I am very proud and honoured to be part of Dave's team. Dave has created a team of enthusiastic, skilled and fun individuals who value and respect one another and work together to support clients in achieving their health and fitness goals.
What is your favourite form of exercise/physical activity?
Anything outdoors like trail running, hiking, road cycling, snowboarding, cross-country skiing; however, my passion is mountain biking!
It's a Saturday night, you've ate healthy all week and it's time to have a cheat meal. What do you choose?
Anything with cheese - nachos, pizza, macaroni and cheese, cheese and crackers, cheese, cheese, cheese please:)
What is the one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I'm an introverted extrovert! I do get energy from being around people; however, I enjoy my alone time, whether it be trail running, mountain biking or sitting on the couch watching re-runs of Law and Order, Criminal Minds and NCIS!
