I went to my first ever cycle class today for the Lunch Express class and although I was running late, Dave welcomed me at the front desk and quickly got me set up. He took a few minutes before we entered to explain a few things, knowing that the class itself would be to loud to be heard well. Once inside the class he helped set me up on a bike while adjusting the seat for me and strapping me in.
The class was already in swing when I started but it was easy to move right into it. The class was led by Linda who was upbeat without being pushy, which is something I always look for. I also appreciated the tv's in the class that show the trackers for the bikes, it truly helped for me to focus on something other than my burning legs! :-D Linda also used those trackers as another method of pushing us just a little bit farther which worked well for me, having a quantitative goal that was easily seen.
After class I stayed behind a bit to 1) catch my breath and 2) talk with Dave for a bit about the class and the sign up method for the upcoming dates. Very energetic, it was great to hear a quick breakdown of the classes they have (which are many) and the excitement he truly has for cycling.
Overall I like to say that the studio is very nice and inviting and the instructors are great to listen to. They have an excitement that can be very infectious, even for a first timer like myself who is currently very sore! lol
