Personal Trainer/Nutritionist
The Northwood Club
I started my fascination with the biomechanics and chemistry of the human body at a young age with more than a decade of competitive ballet and modern dance, which later led me to a BSc. degree in Applied Anatomy and a minor in Chemistry. After moving to Toronto in the 1990’s my passion for fitness, health and nutrition further spurred me on to certify initially as a Personal Trainer and then later as a Nutrition and Wellness Specialist. Over the years I have furthered my training in Nutrition through licensing as a Registered Nutrition and Health Coach (R.N.H.C.) enhancing my ability to help clients achieve optimal health using Orthomolecular Nutrition to prevent and treat acute and chronic disease. I have provided both Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching services to clients in Toronto, Owen Sound, Durham and Collingwood with a focus on: 1. Personal Training: functional motion using body weight training, rehabilitation training for injury/ surgery, HIIT training for peak fitness, cardiovascular conditioning for healthy aging. 2. Nutrition Coaching: Blood Glucose testing for Insulin Resistance screening, Nutritional Planning for increasing Metabolic Function, Nutritional Planning to Achieve Set Weight Point, Nutrition for Optimizing Energy: Recalibrating Adrenal Output, Nutrition Overhaul to Rebalance Gut Microflora, Orthomolecular Nutrition for Chronic Systemic Inflammation and Acute Disease treatment (cancer, heart disease, digestive disorder, kidney, liver, thyroid function, etc.) Ultimately, I find it tremendously uplifting to be able to help clients make concrete and lasting improvements to their health, through increased fitness and sustained nutritional change!
