We love this place. Our daughters 6 and 8 years old go for one on one training with Alex. She is so great with them. Teaching them some great foundation for as they grow into competitive sports and just life in general. We highly recommend this facility and their staff.
A life-long martial artist and student of strength, Matthew Wagner has lived coast-to-coast and been fortunate enough to have some really exceptional teachers. Starting Tae Kwon Do at the age of 12 helped him bridge a personal gap from being a meek video-game loving nerd, into an active, athletic, self-confident video-game loving nerd. Eventually Matt found himself in LA training and instructing muay thai at Renzo Gracie LA (then 5 Star Martial Arts) under a current SF Senior Instructor, John Spezzano. John introduced Matt to kettlebells, barbells, and the bigger concept of the importance of strength and its crossover benefit with martial arts. He has now been a student of strength for nearly a decade. Matt tries to bring his own personal style and technical focus to training his students, and strives to make you confident enough to train safely and effectively. Matt enjoys giving his students now just the “how” but also the “why”. Now fully committed to learning and teaching, Matt earned his SFG I in August of 2019 and is currently training for his SFG II.
