Reformers for sale: $4.29 at Big Y!
Today, in addition to using our pilates stick, Marybeth used washcloths, paper plates, and 2 sides of a cereal box as props to replicate exercises we usually do on the reformer. The props became the carriage on the reformer. Placing our feet on the paper plates (or parts of a Kashi box) we were able to slide our legs apart and pull them together, using our thighs and challenging our balance (think “Pick the flowers” sequence on the reformer). So simple and so awesome. We also used them to enhance some mat exercises. No idle hands, no devil’s workshop at Marybeth’s house during the shutdown: she’s working hard to keep us fit and sane. Thanks for your creativity, MB-today’s class was a blast!
Carolyn has been with Marlborough Pilates Studio Plus since “day 1”. She started as a regular class participant who found that Pilates was just what she needed to round out her workout routine. After over three years as a faithful Pilates participant needing very little direction from the teacher, it seemed a natural progression for Carolyn to pursue Marlborough Pilates Teacher Training. Carolyn has completed all phases of our Teacher Training Program. In 2014 she has earned the distinction of Pilates Method Alliance Certified Pilates Teacher (PMA-CPT). Additionally as a PMA-CPT, Carolyn is one of our Teacher Training mentors. She aids our Teacher Training students as they learn the concepts that guide, the techniques of, and the how to's of teaching the wonderful Pilates method of body conditioning.
You will enjoy Carolyn’s gentle manner and clear instructions as she guides you through a mindful and full body workout that will have you feeling better when you leave than you did when you walked in the door.
