A big shout out to Marybeth and her team for the amazing job they've done thought COVID-19. In the early days, they shifted quickly and smoothly to Zoom-based classes. They were creative with DIY props such as paper plates and washcloths to replicate in-studio exercises.  And they coordinated contact-free pick up of equipment and accessories for rent or purchase for people who wanted to have balls/bands/sticks at home to enhance their workouts. And when the studio could reopen, Marybeth did an excellent job ensuring everyone's safety and communicating the guidelines very clearly. And even though they're back open, they're continuing to offer Zoom classes for people like me who are not ready to take onsite classes yet. I am so appreciative of the opportunity to stretch, strengthen, breathe with intention, and move during these stressful times. I am typically on 4-5 Zoom calls a day, but my pilates sessions are my favorite ones!

Ken started at Marlborough Pilates as a client in 2017. He came to our studio with a few years of prior Pilates experience. After undergoing a total hip replacement at a young age, he turned to Pilates to help rehabilitate his body. Ken has been progressing in Pilates ever since. Ken enjoys helping people and he has prior experience teaching martial arts so teaching Pilates is a great fit for him. His first priority in completing Pilates Teacher Training was to help his own body heal and remain strong. He is such a natural teacher that it is almost impossible for him not to share his knowledge with others. Ken adds a bit of humor to every group class and private session he teaches. Ken has a kind and gentle way about him that makes clients feel comfortable. He has a strong desire to help people understand how to maintain their own health and wellbeing by teaching them how to incorporate exercises into their daily routine. Our clients often share how much they enjoy Ken's classes and how he combines a good challenge with clear explanations of proper technique. Ken is also a talented carpenter. You can see some of his work around the studio.
