I joined the studio last Fall and really felt comfortable learning both salsa and bachata with Soul and Nadège. I found them not only competent and pedagogic in their approcah, but they are also full of life and laughs, patient with us who may not catch as easily and as quickly as others. I am so thankful for these two! We are able to have a modicum of socialisation during this hard time because of their flexibility (they took the classes outside, weather permitting) and went to bat so that studios can remain open for teaching. Kuddos to their determination. I would recommend Studio X to anyone who wants to learn social dancing.
When I started to dance salsa, I had two left feet, but I felt in love with it. After a few years, to challenge myself, I decided to try other styles of Latin dances (such as merengue, bachata and cha-cha). To push myself even further, I started to perform in various salsa events in North America. Wanting to expend my dance repertoire, I took some classes in other Canadian cities and in the US with my girlfriend and partner in crime, which led to the creation of our group the Blackanese Mambo Dance team in 2009; And, we have been performing all over North America since then.
Now, I am still taking various dance classes, such as Afro-Cuban, Ballet, Ballet Jazz, Ballroom, Guinean Dance, Hip Hop, Reggaeton and Salsa (on1 and on2) with great teachers from all over the world.
Another passion of mine is fitness! I've been doing sports all my life like soccer, volleyball, badminton, boxing, kickboxing and all kind of martial art.
Zumba combine my two passion: Dancing and Fitness. I'm a certified group fitness and licensed Zumba instructor. I love teaching Zumba classes and every class feels like a party! You don't even have to know how to dance. Just move your body and follow my lead. It's easy, you'll see what I mean!
Come join me, dance like no one is watching and lose yourself in the music.
