I've been an active member at Coast for over a year now. I love attending the classes and the instructors are so supportive! They all take the time to answer questions and ensure that participants are performing the exercises properly :)
Fitness for me is all about the long term health of our bodies and our minds. Exercise keeps our brains and bodies challenged, so we can keep our strength through our whole lives. My goal is to encourage people to enjoy the fight for fit, and to embrace fitness as a way of life so they can continue to feel healthy and happy, in body and mind, at every age. If you're still moving, they can't bury you!
I'm a coastie at heart, and definitely at home in the outdoors, so it seems only fitting that my passion lies squarely with bikes. I love road biking, and I am a firm believer in N+1 (where N is the number of bikes you currently own). I believe in the gentle toughness that is the spin bike; easy on the joints, but a beast for cardiovascular fitness. When it comes to spinning, all we need to remember is that those on top of the mountain didn't fall there. It's all about passion and grit. So let's get on the bikes, turn up the tension and the tunes, and spin away from our excuses, our fears, and our screaming legs. I look forward to sharing my passion with you, on and off the spin bikes.
