I absolutely Love this gym and the staff. I am working with Jen and she is definitely pushing me harder than I have ever pushed myself. Its been such an amazing experience and I can not wait to see me hit my goal.
Kelley Harp has been a Personal Trainer since 2011 when she became International Sports Science Association certified (ISSA). In 2013, Kelley became certified in Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR) followed by her advanced certification in PWR in 2015. Lastly, in 2016 she became certified in “Rock Steady Boxing” geared toward assisting individuals with Parkinson’s disease for better utilization of communication, fine motor movement skills, balance and coordination.
In 2013, Kelley attended a PWR class where she met Dr. Becky Farley who created the PWR program. Shortly meeting Dr. Farley, Kelley began teaching her own PWR classes that rapidly grew to over 75 individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other Movement Disorders. In 2015, Kelley flew to Tuscan, Arizona where she again worked closely with Dr. Farley receiving her advanced certification in PWR. Most recently, Kelley flew to Indianapolis, Indiana where she attended a rigorous course for 3 days to become certified in “Rock Steady Boxing”. Now Kelley is the head of the exercise department of The Parkinson’s Education and Support Group of Sussex County Delaware.
Kelley’s upcoming projects include “Dance for PD” and “Pedaling for Parkinson’s”. Kelley intends to remain a major part of her local community in Sussex County and dedicate her best efforts to assist those affected by Parkinson’s disease and other Movement Disorders.
