I have been a member at Sweat for almost 7 years. I am so thankful for this community of health and fitness. The staff has a wide breadth of experience and expertise. The classes are fun and challenging. The classes are changed up to keep people engaged. This is a very positive place of health and healing. I recovered from having babies here. I cross trained trained for several events here (Spartan, Escape from Alkatraz, Sf Half marathon, Monterey Bay Half, and 5ks and
mud runs). I have trained for “life” here, keeping up w my boys in street hockey, sledding and hiking threw the snow without getting winded, and backpacking without injury. I look forward to meeting physical challenges in 2020 knowing I am part of a sweet community of people pursuing health through medicinal movement. Thank you Sweat!
Hi! My name is Lakiesha and I'm the proud co-owner of SWEAT! I have worked in the area's fitness clubs since 2002. I'm a certified personal trainer and a certified CPR/AED Basic Life Support and Basic First Aid instructor. I also hold certifications in Pilates Reformer, Arthritis Foundation Aquatics, TRX Group Training, and RealRyder Indoor Cycling. I also earned a BA in Business Management from CSU Sacramento.
I'm a former National Level Figure competitor with corporate sponsorships from MET-Rx and Max Muscle supplement companies. As a competitor I honed my skills in nutrition for the purposes of losing body fat and building lean muscle! I use this knowledge to help our clients achieve the results they desire, whether that be to loss weight, gain muscle, or even prepare for Fitness competitions. I've trained and managed a 12 member fitness staff, managed the product marketing and merchandising and, have developed fitness programs for a local large regional fitness chain.
