Formerly operating in downtown Charleston as Raising the Barre, owner and instructor, Nicole Pridgen, moved to Summerville to pursue her dream of running a boutique barre studio. Nicole was trained in New York in 2010 where she fell in love with the traditional method of ballet barre classes. After teaching in a part time manner for over a decade in Charleston, a desire bubbled up in her to build and run her very own full time barre studio. Seeing a need in Summerville for a high quality barre studio, Nicole and her family packed up their four kids, two cats, and took a leap of faith to move to Summerville. And hence, Barre Nation was born! When she's not at the barre, you can find Nicole playing with her kids, dancing around her house, reading a good book, and eating Mexican food!
