Leslie Harris is a native of and currently resides in Capital Heights, a suburb just outside Washington, D.C. She was introduced to teaching fitness classes in the 1990s and was certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) as a Group Exercise Instructor in 1999 and a Personal Fitness Trainer in 2014. Leslie has instructed many fitness classes including hi-low aerobics, step aerobics, Pilates and Zumba® Fitness classes. In 2003 Leslie was a participant in the “Solid Gold Step” video with Christi Taylor, and a Spice Girl in a Spice video filmed in 2012. Leslie loves Zumba® Fitness and teaches classes with the Divas and Dolls Fitness and also subs for other classes in the surrounding community. She recently retired from the federal Government and balances her teaching with spending time with her family and volunteering her time in the community.
