I’ve always had ties to diet and exercise…but not always the right ones. My nutrition was not where it needed to be. When I had kids, exercise took a backseat to work and being a mom- both very demanding. By age thirty-nine I was 208 lbs. (at 5’3”), and hypertensive. The extra weight slowed me down, but high blood pressure was the catalyst for me to take charge of my fitness. I gave up sugar, most processed foods and began to exercise regularly. In under a year I dropped 85 lbs. and was taken off blood pressure medicine. I like to mix it up with my exercise, so when I tried PiYo I fell in love with it. It’s flexibility, strength, balance and core with a bit of cardio wrapped up in a tidy package. PiYo combines practices of Pilates and Yoga in flow movement. I feel strong and accomplished after a class. Now my passion lies with helping others realize their fitness goals and guiding them to the healthiest version of themselves that they can be. Out of that passion came a desire to become certified as a group fitness instructor.  Kim is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, PiYo Instructor & TurboKick Instructor as well as a NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist
