Nia combines 9 different movement forms, 3 in the martial arts (tai kwon do, tai chi, aikido) 3 in the dance arts (jazz, modern, duncan) and 3 in the healing arts (yoga, alexander technique feldenkrais.) It is asensory-based movement practice that leads to health, wellness and fitness. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Classesare taken barefoot to soul-stirring music. Two other important principles of the practice are finding the JOY of movement, and loving and accepting our bodies just as they are.
