Reduced impact on joints – Sand absorbs more force than solid ground, decreasing stress on knees, ankles, and hips, making it ideal for high-rep sprinting, jumping, and agility work.
Increased muscular demand – The unstable surface requires greater activation of stabilizer muscles, especially in the feet, ankles, calves, hamstrings, and glutes.
Improved force production – Training on sand enhances concentric power due to the increased effort needed to overcome surface resistance.
Enhanced proprioception and balance – Constant micro-adjustments on sand improve neuromuscular control and body awareness.
