The music track contains intensive lessons in Choir, Drumming, and Musical Theater. Students will start each day with Choir, focusing on vocal technique, blending, harmonizing, effectively incorporating dynamics, and studying some basic music theory. The middle of the day will switch from vocal music to instrumental with the incorporation of a Drumming class. In this class, students will practice hand-eye coordination, rhythm, cultural differences in sound production, and get a chance to experience various forms of percussive music-making and movement. To end the day, students join together with those enrolled in the dance track in a Musical Theater class, in which they will be able to use skills learned throughout the day to work on various snippets of top Broadway productions to be performed at the end of the program. This class will focus on emoting, memorization, confidence, leadership, and teamwork. In addition, music students will have the opportunity to participate in elements of the dance track. This program is intended for students ages 9 through 12.
