Being diagnosed with cancer is one of the most difficult experiences someone will ever go through. Knowing how to navigate the road ahead isn’t so simple. Caring for yourself is vital, but what does that really mean? How can you truly show up and help yourself?
This 4-week program is for people coping with a new diagnosis and in treatment and can also benefit those who are finished treatment and want to focus on their wellness in recovery. We’ll cover important topics such as communicating with your medical team, coping with difficult emotions, and taking charge of your health and wellness. You’ll gain information on what steps you can take to improve both your mental and physical health and make yourself a priority.
This series requires commitment to ALL sessions upon registration.
Week 1: Understanding your experience and working with your team
Week 2: Nutrition, exercise and sleep
Week 3: Emotions, psychological well-being and relationships
Week 4: Creating a healing space and exploring what truly matters to you
This program is free for those affected by cancer and their caregivers, thanks to the generosity of our donors. Participants must be aged 18 or above to take part in this program.
