This is a biweekly Intuitive Painting class designed to align with The Sanctuary’s existing offerings in energy healing, spiritual exploration, and creative self-expression. Unlike typical “paint and sip” events, this class focuses on inner connection, emotional release, and channeling through abstract art.

You will be gently guided through the process, offered support with color choices, brushstrokes, and techniques while encouraging intuitive, expressive creation. You will be encouraged to listen deeply to their senses and inner world, then let it all go. To say, “So what?” and make marks without fear, and allow mistakes, messiness, and spontaneity to be part of the process. We will provide 10x10 canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, and intuitive tools.

Class Intention:
To provide a welcoming, judgment-free space where individuals can explore their creativity, release blocked emotions, and connect with their intuition through the healing power of painting.

Special Instructions:
To bring your lovely self, along with anything that you would like! Paints, brushes and canvases (10x10) will be provided, however if you want to bring in other materials you are most welcome. Smocks are encouraged.

About the Facilitator:
Carol Booth is an abstract expressionist painter whose work explores the emotional and often unseen layers of human experience. A graduate in international relations and a lifelong artist, Carol has lived and created across the U.S. and abroad—including a transformative period in France where she worked as an English language assistant and deepened her connection to solitude, expressions, and symbolism.
Her paintings—often vibrant, textural, and layered—emerge from a process of listening inward. For Carol, painting is a way to move energy, explore identity, and release stored emotion. Her recent works channel everything from personal healing and relationship dynamics to spiritual concepts and social commentary.
Now based in Brewster, Carol facilitates intuitive painting sessions that invite others into this process of letting go—of perfectionism, rules, and fear. Her workshops are designed to support self-expression through color, movement, and sensation, and she brings a calming yet playful presence to every class. With experience in hospitality, the arts, and education, Carol creates a warm, safe space where all levels are welcome and no mistakes exist.
