Join experienced instructors Amy Danigole and Meghan Mella Pellegrin for a transformative 2-day weekend immersion into Yin Yoga.
This unique immersion explores Yin Yoga's powerful connection to your nervous system, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles, and your subtle energetic body, providing practical tools for self-regulation and profound relaxation.

Over this immersive weekend, you'll gain a holistic understanding of how Yin Yoga can enhance your well-being:
Day 1: Foundations & Energy Flow

Morning: Settle in with gentle Yin practice focused on releasing tension and activating your parasympathetic nervous system (“rest and digest”). You'll learn the core principles of Yin Yoga, its physical and mental benefits, and how it differs from active yoga styles. We'll explore the balance between your sympathetic (“fight or flight”) and parasympathetic responses, and how Yin Yoga strengthens interoception (awareness of internal bodily sensations).

Afternoon: Dive into the fascinating world of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Discover Qi (life force energy) and its circulation through meridian channels. You'll learn about the 12 primary meridians and their emotional connections, along with an introduction to the Five Element Theory (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood) and how stress can manifest within each. The day concludes with a Yin practice designed to stimulate meridians linked to common emotional imbalances.
Day 2: Deepening Practice & Integration

Morning: Review key concepts and then bridge the gap between TCM and Thai Massage principles with Meghan Mella Pellegrin. Learn how both systems balance energy flow for nervous system regulation, and explore the Five Elements in relation to stress, anxiety, and depression. The morning culminates in a deeper Yin practice with longer holds, targeting specific meridians (like Kidney/Urinary Bladder for releasing fear) and integrating breathwork for enhanced calm.

Afternoon: Explore additional nervous system reset techniques beyond the mat, including mindfulness and sound healing. Learn to respond thoughtfully rather than react to life's challenges. You'll then create a personalized reset routine using the learned techniques!

The immersion concludes with a comprehensive Final Yin practice, featuring optional Thai massage assists, designed to release tension, integrate all concepts, and foster self-compassion.
This weekend will include 4 full yin yoga practices, breath and stress release techniques, Thai massage, and LOTS of self care!

This is an all day session. The room will not be heated, but please feel free to bring a change of clothing if desired. Lunch will not be provided. There will be time permitted to leave for lunch, but please feel free to bring a lunch!
