Welcome to the Second South West Swim Big Charity. Sign up now so we know you are coming along (and that it is worth us organising).
Join Us for the Second South West Swim Big Charity Day!
Saturday 30th August | Lake 86 | 9:30am Start
We’re excited to invite all our squad swimmers, 1-to-1 athletes, and workshop attendees to the second South West Swim Big Charity Day at Lake 86!
This is a relaxed and social day by the lake, starting with a mass-start swim at 9:30am (if you wish to of course), followed by a picnic or BBQ and time to catch up with your fellow swimmers, and meet new swimmers trading stories of this seasons events and training. Whether you want to swim, paddleboard, or simply relax and enjoy the company, we will have a great day.
What to Expect:

Group swim starts at 9:30am with a fun, friendly mass start. Join us if you wish too (note, this is not a coached session).

Swim for as long or as little as you like, ideal for social swimmers or those still in training for their big late season events.

Lake 86 activities like SUP boarding and kayaking are also available thrnough the day (please book directly with the lake). If therie is enough interest we maybe able to reserve a time slot so we can all go out toghether. Let me know ASAP and I cantry to arrange.

If there’s enough interest, we may organise a fun SUP yoga session. Once again, let me know ASAP if you’d like to take part in this and I can see if I can arrange.

We’ve booked two bays for the whole day to create a dedicated social space for the South West Swim community. Bring a chair, blanket and your picnic / BBQ foods for the day.
Fundraising:
This year, we’re supporting the British Heart Foundation, a charity close to Jason’s heart. After raising nearly £1,900 for the BHF during the 2025 London Marathon, Jason is continuing his efforts as part of Team BHF in the 2026 marathon.
While the event is free to attend (aside from normal Lake 86 entry fees if swimming or doing activities), the purpose behind it is a charity dfundariser. If you can give that would be brilliant and last year we suggested an optional donation of £5–£10 on the day, which will all go into the BHF fundraiser pot.

Standard Lake 86 rules, terms and fees apply. If you’re not a Lake 86 member, you’ll need to pay for swim entry and register as a PAYG member.

Please sign up in advance so we know numbers and can plan accordingly.
- PLease let me know if you would like to take part in a group SUP board session or SUP yoga session so i can try to organise and opbtain prices.
Whether you’re swimming one lap or several hours, paddling, floating, or just relaxing lakeside, we’d love you to join us and help make this a fantastic day for a great cause.
You might even catch Jason in the water for a swim too…
