This workshop will be a beginners guide to Ayurveda as defined by Dr Vasant Lad. In this workshop we will begin with gentle movement and breathwork, then we will break down what Ayurveda is, its history and how we can utilize it along side modern Western Medicine. You'll learn what elements you carry, known in Ayurveda as your 'dosha". We'll then work with your unique dosha and figure how you can utilize different foods, spices/herbs and daily habits to allow your body, mind and spirt to sync and work more like a power house than a energy suck.
Ayurveda is a medical science and it's purpose is to heal and to maintain the quality and longevity of life. It offers a profound understanding of each persons unique body, mind and consciousness. Ayurveda embraces all health care disciplines and weaves them into an integrated treatment plan for each individual.
