Guest TeacherDescription
Join us for an evening of kirtan — the joyful practice of call-and-response chanting that blends music, mantra, and mindfulness. Together, we’ll explore the meanings behind traditional Sanskrit chants and experience how singing becomes a meditation of its own: using breath, voice, and awareness to anchor fully in the present moment.
Kirtan is a practice that originated in ancient India as part of the Bhakti yoga tradition, the yoga of love and devotion. In yoga, kirtan helps practitioners connect to something greater than themselves—cultivating unity, joy, and presence through sound and collective energy.
No experience needed — just come as you are and let the rhythm, learning, and shared energy lift your spirit!
------
We are so excited to invite Stacy Frank to lead this Kirtan event at SunState Yoga as part of our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. Since Kirtan is more fun the more people you have, we thought we would open it up as a free event to our members :)
The event will kick off at 6:30pm, but feel free to roll in a little early to get settled first. Feel free to bring a bolster, cushion or pillow to sit on.
